Two Events in One Day in London

A trip to London for two corporate events at very different venues. The first at Millbank Tower, a new venue for me, Altitude 360 a suite of Meeting Rooms overlooking the Thames and the Houses of Parliament.

Then in the evening an Awards Dinner at The Tate Britain a stunning venue, with the dinner being served in one of the Galleries lined with Paintings by many of the Great Masters. The current exhibition of sculptures by Henry Moore was a delight and I was honoured to view it whilst the attendees enjoyed their dinner.

The Goldilocks Fashion Show at The Dorchester

Friday 19th March back to London this time to The Dorchester Hotel for somewhat of a first for me a children's Fashion Show. The Goldilocks Fashion Show staged by Dorothy Ind and featuring 80 pupils of Chealsea Ballet Schools was a delightful event. Hosted by Natasha Kaplinsky the event was raising funds for London based charity Kids Company. In addition to the children three Celebrity mothers, Tamara Beckwith, Donna Air and Tania Bryer , also took to the catwalk with their children wearing outfits designed by Bruce Oldfield. The Show concluded with a cameo appearance by Begona Cao, Principal Dancer with the English National Ballet.

The RPJ Rock Ball at The Hurlingham Club

On Wednesday 17th March I was delighted to be invited to photograph the first ever Rock Ball at the Hurlingham Club on the Banks of the River Thames in London. The Ball was the brainchild of Rock musician Rick Parfitt Jnr the son of legendary Rocker Rick Parfitt of Status Quo fame. Rick Jnr suffers from Chrons and has recently set up The RPJ Chrons Foundation for which this was the inaugural fund raising event.

The evening was hosted by Top Gear's Richard Hammond and featured performances from Damien Flood, Steve Furst as Lenny Beige, Jack McManus and a fashion show masterminded by top catwalk model Sophie Anderton. An auction conducted in his usual inimitable style by Jonny Gould raised a fantastic amount for the Charity. The evening was rounded off by a stunning performance by Rick and his RPJ Rock Band all the more remarkable given that Rick was recovering from a major operation only five weeks previously. Other well know guests included Brendan Cole from Strictly Come Dancing, former F1 boss turned TV pundit Eddie Jordan and former F1 ledgend Jody Scheckter.

The event run by Fireball Management was a huge success and looks set to become an annual event. A full gallery of images from the evening can be viewed at www.dhbeventphotography.co.uk
